Health Check Costa Rica: Who We Are!
Hello I am Rodgers Bestgen CEO and founder of Health Check Costa Rica Medical Tourism services and I wish to take a moment to explain exactly what we do and what our commitments and goals are for you the Client. As a Medical Travel facilitator it is our job to make sure our clients receive the best care possible in Costa Rica. To this end we have allied ourselves with The Promed Council which is the Body responsible for maintaining standards and practices within the Medical Travel Industry in Costa Rica. It is our pleasure to do so and as such we have sworn an oath to maintain the standards set by this body, the most important of which is to work ONLY with accredited institutions and independent care providers. Health Check is committed to seeing this important industry achieve its’ full potential and the only way we see possible to do so is to hold ourselves to the highest standards of ethics and quality. At Health Check we do not simply make a referral and a phone call like many of these medical facilitator companies that have popped up recently, we make sure to greet our patients and we represent and advocate for our patients every step of the way. From care to accommodations and transportation we make sure its done right and we have built a strong business by believing in and supporting the wonderful warmth and quality of care available here in Costa Rica.
I was struck by the difference in experiences between the United States and Costa Rica recently when a client from Georgia came through Health Check for a very serious life threatening procedure, the person that normally greets patients for Health Check for me had a family emergency so I personally flew to San Jose from Guanacaste where we are based to greet the family. I felt this type of personal service was my duty because we had become personally involved. What really struck me however was as the time approached to meet the family as I waited in the coffee shop I happened to bump into the International Director of the Hospital Clinica Biblica, who was aware of the family’s arrival. The director not only walked over to the intake area with me to greet the family but he stayed with me and chatted with the husband and I while the wife went through the intake procedure with her care coordinator. I was struck by and touched by the personal attention and level of support that flowed so naturally. I have spent a fair share of time in hospitals, in fact every day for almost a year with my sister and never have I seen such a thing in a U.S. hospital.
Please know that if you book a medical tourism procedure through Health Check Costa Rica we will attempt to see that you receive this level of service every time. I can’t promise the director every time but I will assure you that you will be pleasantly surprised at the level of support, the modern clean facilities, and the real warmth and support from myself, my company, and with any and everyone that we work with.
Thank You.
